I'm an Island Girl!

I was pulling out some pictures and paper to work with on Thursday evening when the phone rang. It was Nicole, from We B Scrappin' asking me to join the design team.
Waaahooo! I'm afraid I talked her ear off, but I was so excited! You gotta go check out her rockin kits! She has such a great eye for combining products. If you have a moment, come by and take a peek!

Da Bronx, baby!

This past weekend I packed up my cropping stuff and headed off to Fordham University. Michele from Timeless Inspirations had organized a crop there. I met my cyber friend and fellow KNK DT member, Dolores Cancel in person, finally! She is such a doll, and it is almost scary how similar our brains work while scrapping! Our table was full of talented scrappers. So much inspiration in one place! Anyway, here are some pictures from the crop and the pages I made that day...

Here are my creations with the April KNK kit. This kit featured Marah Johnson's Lovestruck line and it is sooo cool to work with.

What else is new? Well, my Secret layout won at Scrapfabulous, so I received a prize of the new Primas bra & panty packaged flowers. Thanks Amy!

I also was one of the winners at Tally Scrapper for the Sew Simple contest. This is the page I submitted:

Last, but not least... I've been hanging out at We Be Scrappin'.It's a newer kit club. I decided to apply for the DT there - the kits are too gorgeous not to try! Anyway, the announcement won't be made for a few more days, so I can only sit and wait! Nicole (the DT coordinator) sure has her work cut out for her in trying to choose only 2 designers. There is mad talent in that gallery!

What's New

So I haven't updated in a bit... We went to Ohio to visit Mike's family for Easter week. Here is a pic of what our crammed minivan looks like when we travel. Doesn't little Tom Tom look thrilled?

Tommy was fascinated with the whole egg coloring process this year. Especially the color orange. Every egg he did had to be orange and he cracked each one as he plopped them into the cup. So cute!

While we were away, I received some good news - I was chosen to join the Design Team at Scrapper's Haven, where I've been playing along with the Iron Chef II contest. Donna, Marcie and Rebecca there are just terrific there. Also chosen was Emine Pala, a super talented scrapper from the Netherlands. If you have a moment, come visit us. We are planning some more fun and games in the near future!

Many other pictures to share, but tomorrow is another day!

Bling and Monograms...

Here are my most recent projects for the Iron Chef II competition over at Scrapper's Haven. This week our challenge was to use monograms and bling on a card, a layout, and an altered item.
I was feeling very artsy when I created my layout. Played with paint, and my fave new embellie, SEQUINS!
The ribbon on the clipboard - I hoarded this stuff from a family get together last year. Mike's aunt had brought all the women gifts that had this ribbon on it. I had to gather everyone's and save it. Knew I'd use it someday!
Seriously love this competitive scrapping stuff. Totally makes me think out of the box. And wow, the competition is tough! One or two points is what separates us all. Can't wait to see what ingredients we'll have to use this week!
