The secret is out!

Well, I am finally able to post my big news! My good friend, Dolores and I have been developing a new challenge blog. It's called Dreamgirls and it's set to launch on April 1st. Let me tell you, we are so fortunate to have recruited some amazingly talented ladies for our design team.

Meet the Dream Team Divas:

Amy Cutler
Cheryl Nelson
Glenda Tkalac
Jeri Swenson
Lisa Houpt
Michelle McCord
SarahJane Dowsett
Tanisha Long

I'd like to give SJ a special shout out for creating a smoking hot banner and being our "go to" person for beautifying our site. Thanks girl!

If you have a moment, please, go check out the blog. Leave a comment to be entered in a drawing for a RAK.

Something tells me I'm into something good...

I have a secret! A scrap related secret, but I can't share just yet. Be sure to check back here next week for my news. Let's just say it's "dreamy!"

I am such a clutz. Ever since I was a kid, I would trip, fall, sprain my ankle. Grace is NOT my middle name. Early last week, I suited up for a long walk with my dog, Harley. I got out the iPod, and was going to get some exercise. NOT. I made it around the corner from my house, when my ankle buckled and down I fell. And I even did that wrong. I fell fingers first and jammed my left hand. It hurt. A LOT. My hand swelled up and off we went to the ER. Fortunately, I did't break any bones. But the swelling was enough that they had to cut off my engagement and wedding rings. I was so sad. So now my hand is mending, but there is still swelling and weakness. I've started scrapping again, but it still is quite sore.

Here is the first page I made for Scrappy Girl Designs. The March kit features yummy Jenni Bowlin Tangerine Dream and Dream Street Birdie Bits papers.

Here's a page I made with gorgeous Kaisercraft papers for Scrapper's Haven.

And here is my layout for this week's song inspiration at Scrapping the Music challenge blog:

Night shift

Typical... I'm up later than I should be. I was scheduled to work tonight and was cancelled. This is good and bad. Nice to have the night off, but bad after you've spent the afternoon sleeping in anticipation of working. So the house is silent and I found some mojo to scrap.

Here is the page I made tonight. It was fun to scrap with this color scheme - I hardly ever use purple, which is weird, since it's one of my favorite colors.

I'm so happy to announce that I was chosen for the new DT at the kit club, Scrappy Girls Designs. This LO will accompany my bio on the website there. Congrats to Stacey, Tara, Nikki, Sarah, and Origin! I'm excited to design with this group of talented ladies & can't wait to get my first kit. The other cool part of this position is that I'll be designing 8.5 x 11 pages. This is a size I only started working with about 6 months ago, but really enjoy doing. Amber puts together some beautiful kits, so I'm stoked!

More good news since I last posted ...

Debbie at Crop Addict contacted me and asked me to fill a vacant position on the Creative Team there. Woohoo! Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to work with all the talented ladies there. I was inspired to create this card after Creative Team member Kim Hackworth posted a tutorial there on using alcohol inks.

More Projects to share...

Here is a layout I made for Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs. The title is one of their stackers, which I inked and then layered over a Technique Tuesday tile.
This is little Tommy - who is three now. Where does the time go?

Speaking of MOSD - here is a sneak peek of a mini I made for them - you'll want to get your hands on one of these albums!

Here is the page I made for last week's STM song. I dug into my Bad Girls kit for much of this page:

And finally, here's one I did just for fun the other night - I added some Making Memories Chelsea Place papers to my Bad Girls kit and came up with this:

Mike is always such a goofball and makes silly faces at me when I try to take his picture, so it was a treat to get a few normal shots of him!

Scrapping like crazy!

I've been scrapping a LOT lately. I took the night off tonight, though, and watched a movie with Mike. We watched Mr Brooks, with Kevin Costner & Demi Moore.
What a cool flick - so many subplots and little twists, but not hard to follow. If you haven't seen it - rent it!

Anyway, here's a page I made with the gorgeous Kaiser Crafts papers from Scrapper's Haven. My inspiration was the lyrics to the song, "A Woman's Work" which is this week's challenge at Scrapping the Music.

Speaking of Scrapper's Haven - be sure to sign up to play in the Iron Chef 4 contest, coming soon! The grand prize is...

A Clip It Up by Simply Renee!

You can check them out here:
http://www.clipitup.com/

Isn't that an amazing prize? You can't win if you can't play!

I have more projects to share, but I can't seem to get the insert photo link to work right now, so I suppose tomorrow is another day.
