We're getting a dog!

It looks that way, anyway. Part of me feels bad, since I don't know if we've grieved an appropriate length of time for Fritzi. But the house feels so empty amd the kids really want one. By some fluke or fate, I was at work the other evening, and a co-worker overheard me saying I'm looking for a dog. Her cousin had listed a dog for adoption that very day. His name is Harley and he is a 10 month old Chessie. I don't have a picture of him to share yet, but I'm very excited. It seems his current owners are just not home enough to give him the type of time and exercise he needs.
He is housebroken and just needs some time and training. I've done a lot of research on the breed online and it seems like he could be a great fit for our family. He is a deadgrass color (tan, like the name implies) and looks somewhat like this:

So I'll post more once I know more about Harley.

As far as scrapping...
I've been working with my first batch of projects from Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs. I can't share yet, but maybe I'll be able to post a sneak peek soon.
Here's a few projects that I can share...

a page I made for Scrapper's Haven this month:

Okay, so time for bed. Goodnight all!

Quick update

It's late here. Why do I always want to blog when I should be heading to sleep?!?
Well, this will just be a quickie.
Here is a LO I did for a challenge. I LOVE working with the Prima papers. I was in a reflective mood when I scrapped this, so the journaling is all about appreciating the small moments, since there is no rewind button in life. This happens to be one of my New Year's resolutions as well:

Then this is another Valentine's card I made:

I needed to find some mojo the other night, so I decided to start using the Bad Girls Kits I've been hoarding. This is an older picture, as I was pregnant with now five year old Jimmy. Yikes, where does the time go?

I'll have more to share soon. Now I need to be thinking about sleep!

Life goes on

The kids are back to school, I'm back to working more hours and we're settling back into our normal routine. I was able to get a few pages done in the past week. I worked with beautiful Prima papers for these ones, which are all available from Couture Scrapbooking.

Last week the song inspiration over at Scrapping the Music was "The Gift". The lyrics inspired this page with my little Tom Tom.

This week the song is "Let it Snow." Check it out and link your projects to the blog.

I discovered a really hopping message board over at The Scrapbook Nook. If you like it chatty, come check it out. The other thing that I am amazed by there is the talent of the team and members. There is just MAD inspiration there. I'm one of the finalists there for their new DT call. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Here's a Valentine's card and envie I made for a challenge there:

I have another page that I worked on tonight, but it's too bulky to scan, so I'll share it soon.

All is quiet on New Year's Day

A world in white gets underway...

We woke to snow this morning. A world calm, quiet and full of possibility.
I have to admit, I was ready for the new year. 2007 wasn't that great, in my estimation, although it could have been much worse. Guess it depends on how you look at it. I think it's better to look forward with optimism.
Here's to a healthy, prosperous and safe New Year.
